The presence of artificial intelligence in the entertainment industry is actually much more common than one might think. Before the rise of this technology as we know it today, AI was used in the entertainment industry for technological practices that required support: to rejuvenate actors, remove green screens, or help make special effects more realistic.
However, in 2025, Hollywood decided to welcome current artificial intelligence with open arms, gaining very little in return. As with most of the world, the technology in question managed to fascinate those in power, infiltrating without too much difficulty any industry that considered itself “innovative” enough to give it a role.
The addition of AI was a deeply controversial choice, especially within creative and artistic contexts (such as entertainment and show business), causing significant internal rifts. Despite this, some sectors have managed to achieve a semblance of success, a glimmer of hope for the future of the technology in question - Hollywood, on the other hand, has been left empty-handed. Despite the implementation of AI, there has been no improvement or particularly impactful projects, leaving it just another sector that has bowed to a technology that, let's face it, is currently substandard.
