Tumblr and WordPress to Sell Users’ Data to Train AI Tools.

Any data on the Internet could become 'fuel' for artificial intelligence tools, be it an image, an audio file or a post on a social network: any content has the potential to become training material.

According to an inside source at 404 Media, the site whose article we are referring to here, the company behind the Tumblr platform and the Wordpress software is preparing to sell its users' data to two giants of the current artificial intelligence market: Midjourney and OpenAI. The data involved are, however, still unknown.

Auttomatic, the company behind the two mentioned platforms, has announced that it will introduce a new approach that will allow its users to opt out of sharing data with third parties - such as artificial intelligence companies.
