Recently, the App Store has allowed the presence of applications intended to function as emulators for the system used by Apple's product line. iGBA, the first Game Boy Advance system emulator available for the iPhone, was released recently.

Its presence in the App Store, however, did not last long. Shortly after its release, the iGBA emulator was withdrawn from the system due to a violation of the copyright and spam rules shared in Apple's guidelines.

During a brief investigation carried out by the site of the referenced article, The Verge was contacted by the developer of the original application, who stated that the current iGBA was an unauthorised clone of GBA4iOS, the open-source emulator he had created for iOS some time ago.
