The text we're referencing today is different from the usual: it's a LinkedIn post by lawyer Valentina Fiorenza, in which she illustrates quite a serious situation regarding the fast fashion giant Shein, shedding light on the darker aspects of its condition. In this informative excursus, the author of the post mentions issues such as worker protection, environmental cost, and social conditioning, and then dwells on Shein's relationship with intellectual property.

The company has been accused over and over again of intellectual property infringement, both by small artists and, apparently, by designers of varying reputations - famous victims of various thefts of creativity perpetrated by large companies.

The case being considered today differs from what has been illustrated above in that the group of designers victimized by the company has come forward to accuse Shein of violating the U.S. federal RICO (Racketee Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act).
