According to a recent report by the British Standards Institution (BSI), the leading British standards organisation and a member of the International Organisation for Standardisation, those belonging to Generation Z (1997–2012) are currently facing a veritable “job apocalypse”. The vast majority of companies in 2025 are devoting their resources to the implementation of artificial intelligence and, as a result, the automation of various tasks.
The current state of the job market is not the best, as it is characterised by a considerable slowdown in demand and, consequently, in the creation and development of new opportunities. Furthermore, following the rise of this technology, the appeal of innovation has quickly surpassed any original concerns about introducing new roles within the workforce.
Nowadays, sadly, before considering a new potential hire, companies prefer to delegate the task to AI rather than seek out a real-life expert or professional.
